Abstract

【課題】 高温の環境でも長寿命で耐久性に優れたスパークプラグを提供する。 【解決手段】 筒状の主体金具1と、該主体金具1の内孔に配置される筒状の絶縁体2と、該絶縁体2の先端側内孔に配置される中心電極3と、一端が前記主体金具1に固着され、他端側が前記中心電極3と火花放電ギャップを形成する接地電極4を備えるスパークプラグ100において、中心電極3及び接地電極4の少なくとも一方は、Cr:13〜19%、Fe:6〜10%、Nb、Re、Rh、Taの中から少なくとも1種類以上でその合計が0.5%を超え2.5%未満、B:0.001〜0.01%含有した、残部Niの電極材料から形成されている。 【選択図】 図1
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spark plug with a long life and excellent durability even under an environment of high temperature. SOLUTION: The spark plug 100 comprises a cylindrical main body metal fitting 1, a cylindrical insulation body 2 arranged at an inner hole of the main body metal fitting 1, a center electrode 3 arranged at the tip side of the inner hole of the insulation body 2, and a ground electrode 4 of which one end is fixed to the main body metal fitting 1 and the other end forms a spark discharge gap between the center electrode 3 and itself. At least either the center electrode 3 or the ground electrode 4 is made from an electrode material containing Cr by 13 to 19 wt.%, Fe by 6 to 10 wt.%, at least one or more kind of elements selected from Ni, Re, Rh, and Ta by a total content of not less than 0.5 wt.% and not more than 2.5 wt.%, and residual Ni containing B by 0.001 to 0.01 wt.%.
