Abstract

【課題】熱応答性、画像保存性、並びにスタンプ、捺印などの捺印定着性に優れた感熱記録材料を提供する。 【解決手段】支持体上に電子供与性の通常無色ないし淡色の染料前駆体、加熱時反応して該染料前駆体を発色させる電子受容性化合物、および顔料とを含有する感熱記録層と、該感熱記録層上に少なくとも1層の無機顔料、および水溶性樹脂または水分散性樹脂を含有する保護層を有する感熱記録材料において、該保護層中に含有される無機顔料の平均粒子径を5〜15μmとし、該保護層中の無機顔料の含有率が該保護層中の全固形分に対して25〜60質量%とし、該感熱記録層の顔料の含有率を該感熱記録層の全固形分に対して10質量%以下とする。好ましくは、該保護層の絶乾塗工量を1〜3g/m 2 とする。更に好ましくは、該保護層中に含有される無機顔料をシリカとし、該保護層中に粒子径が1μm未満である無機顔料を含有させない。また、該保護層中に含有される樹脂を水分散性樹脂とする。 【選択図】 無し。
<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat sensitive recording material which is excellent in heat responsibility, image preserving properties, and imprinting fixation of stamping, sealing and the like. <P>SOLUTION: The heat sensitive recording material comprises a heat sensitive recording layer containing an electron donative, normally colorless or monochromatic dye precursor, an electron acceptive compound coloring the dye precursor by being reacted in heating and a pigment on a substrate, and a protective layer containing at least one layer of an inorganic pigment and a water soluble resin or a water dispersible resin. Average particle diameter of the inorganic pigment contained in the protective layer is 5-15 μm, a content of the inorganic pigment in the protective layer is 25-60 mass% to total solid content in the protective layer and a content of the pigment in the heat sensitive recording layer is ≤10 mass% to total solid content of the heat sensitive recording layer. An absolute dry coating weight of the protective layer is preferable 1-3 g/m<SP>2</SP>. Further, preferably the inorganic pigment contained in the protective layer and the inorganic pigment of <1μm in particle size is not contained in the protective layer.
