Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce electric power consumption and to enable a free layout design. SOLUTION: This time measuring apparatus is provided with both a time display mechanism 5 having a piezoelectric actuator 41X as a drive source for displaying time information by a mechanical mechanism and a calendar display mechanism 6 having a piezoelectric actuator 41Y as a drive source for displaying a calendar by a mechanical mechanism. The piezoelectric actuator 41Y is arranged at such a location that at least part of its orthogonal projection onto a plane may be superposed on the orthogonal projection of the piezoelectric actuator 41X onto a plane vertical to the thickness direction of the time measuring apparatus.
